“Working on it” image from SharePoint 2013 gone…

During the testing of new projects in SharePoint 2013, we noticed that sometimes the loading image did not appear when we for example – tried to save a publishing page.



Two things you have to check:

1. See if the image called progress16.gif is still here C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\1033\IMAGES
2. Don’t use Google Chrome.
   For some mysterious reason Google Chrome version 32.0.1700.76m doesn’t want to display the ajax-image.
